Our A-one+ joint venture (Halcrow/Colas/Costain) combines the culture and expertise from our parent companies with specialist skills in structures and road design, term maintenance contracts and project management skills within the highways sector.
A-one+ have been appointed by the Highways Agency as the Managing Agent Contractor (MAC) for Areas 10, 7 and 12. This builds on our success in Area 14 which is managed by A-one (Halcrow/Colas) which was initially awarded a four-year contract in July 2003. A-one were successful in being awarded a three-year extension to 2010. The contract has a value of approximately £30m per annum.
We are the MAC Service Provider for the Area 10 network which was awarded as a five-year contact from November 2007 with a possible two-year extension to 2014. This contract has an estimated value of approximately £55m per annum.
A-one+ have recently won the Area 7 MAC Contract which will come into effect from July 2009. The contract is for five years with a possible two-year extension. The contract has an estimated value of £60m per annum. We are also delighted to have been awarded the Area 12 contract, which will come into effect from 1 October 2009 which is also a five year contract with a possible two year extension.
We are now the leading MAC Provider across England. This is an outstanding achievement and something we are very proud of.
