The Area 10 Network

The Area 10 MAC is one of the largest, busiest and increasingly trafficked road networks in the UK. Located in the North West of England it comprises some 500km of motorway and trunk road carriageway and over 2500 structures, throughout Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and the southern parts of Lancashire. We are responsible for the day-to-day operational management and maintenance of the motorway and trunk road network. This also includes:

• provision of routine, winter and incident response services
• design and construction of maintenance and improvement schemes up to £500,000 in value
• design, co-ordination and supervision of maintenance and improvement schemes valued between £500,000 and £5 million
• fulfilling the role of Principal Contractor for works procured through a Construction Management Framework
